Mass. Email

Hey everybody,

I found out on Friday that I'm getting transferred to Cambridge Massachusetts to cover 3 singles wards there. And it's a walking area. I'm super excited to go but it feels weird to leave Ellington. It's been a pretty awesome time. This next transfer will be my year mark. I can't believe how quickly it's all gone, and I'm so grateful for how much has happened.

We saw a few miracles this week with finding new investigators. One man as we taught him felt the spirit and said he knew God answers prayers. It was cool to see the difference in him in just a short lesson. He remembered all the good experiences he's had with God in the past, and desired to try to bring God back into his life. We also talked to a man who told us he'd been searching for a church who could baptize him correctly. He's investigated extensively other churches and knows quite a bit about the Bible.

I've been trying to work on patience recently. Some days it's hard to knock doors for 1-3 hours. Especially when it's raining.

 Preach My Gospel says:
"Patience is the capacity to endure delay, trouble, opposition, or suffering without becoming angry, frustrated, or anxious."
I've always thought I'm pretty good at the enduring part. It's the "without becoming angry, frustrated, or anxious" part that I really need to work on. Anyway, I have seen how I've been able to be helped by Jesus Christ so many times in my mission with this and other attributes already.

Love you all,
Elder Rogers
