Hey all,
This week in Connecticut was pretty sweet. I hope yours went well, too! We had an amazing experience this week with a media referral. The whole family is super interested and found us through a youtube channel they watch. I had never heard of it before, but there was a mormon.org link in the description. So, this family clicked on it and requested a Book of Mormon. They are so cool! They are willing to read the Book of Mormon and be baptized.
Also, I don't know if anyone has ever heard of oreo cows, but they're here in Connecticut. I think they look pretty cool. A member told me that they can trace their genealogy all the way back to when they came over from Europe.
2 Nephi 2: 27 reads "Wherefore, men are free according to the flesh; and all things are given them which are expedient unto man. And they are free to choose liberty and eternal life, through the great Mediator of all men, or to choose captivity and death, according to the captivity and power of the devil; for he seeketh that all men might be miserable like unto himself."
I know that the little decisions we make to read the scriptures, pray, and go to church are the way that we each "choose liberty and eternal life" because of Jesus Christ. I've also gained a great testimony of righteous action on my mission. It's amazing how much can happen if I so choose. Especially with missionary work, God will guide our efforts. We just need to put ourselves out there.
Love,
Elder Rogers
