Hello everybody,
We had some wicked snow this week. It snowed all Saturday, and we had probably about an inch stick. Elder Blotter came up from Connecticut on Wednesday, and we've been having a good time up here in Cambridge. We were waiting at a bus stop amidst the flurry of snow, and Elder Blotter stooped down and picked up an iPhone 6s. It was just chillin' on the sidewalk. So, we went to the police station and turned it in. Who knows? He could end up with a used, like new phone in 2 years for free. We'll just have to wait and see.
This week was the last week before all the students in my wards start going home. Two of our wards had fantastic musical programs. They also extended the Sacrament meetings, so we listened to like 3 hours of live Christmas music at church. There are a lot of music students that participated, so the music was absolutely astounding.
I love missionary service. I have the opportunity every day to see and talk to so many people. Teaching and testifying to the people I talk to for a few minutes on the street or on the T is really powerful. I love seeing the Spirit touch them. I love the Lord's counsel in Doctrine and Covenants 11:
11 For, behold, it is I that speak; behold, I am the light which shineth in darkness...
12 And now, verily, verily, I say unto thee, put your trust in that Spirit which leadeth to do good—yea, to do justly, to walk humbly, to judge righteously; and this is my Spirit.
13 Verily, verily, I say unto you, I will impart unto you of my Spirit, which shall enlighten your mind, which shall fill your soul with joy;
I've seen in my mission that these words are true. I know that Jesus Christ id the Light. As we look to the Light of the season, we'll come to find great joy
Love,
Elder Rogers
