Hey everybody,
I hope your Spring is going well. I've now been out for 6 Months! It's been such a blast. It felt like yesterday, I got off the plane! I actually found out that I'm being transferred already! I spent only 1 transfer here on the island. I loved it though. My companion's been great and the members have been great, too. So, I'm already gathering up all my stuff and packing it back up. I'm going to be in the Ellington, Connecticut ward next. I've heard it is a beautiful place which is alright by me. We baptized a young man this week. I don't have any pics yet, but I'll get some soon.
I had an awesome exchange this week with my District Leader and trainer Elder Nielson. We had a short but sweet time here on the Vineyard. I've learned so much while here on the island. I've been questioning why I was only here for a transfer, but the experiences I've had are amazing. As I look back, I have learned so much more about Jesus Christ, his doctrine, and what I can do to become more like him in my life.
I cannot tell you how excited I am for General Conference! I don't think I've ever been this glad that it's coming. There's so much to learn from it. "21 Seek not to declare my word, but first seek to obtain my word, and then shall your tongue be loosed; then, if you desire, you shall have my Spirit and my word, yea, the power of God unto the convincing of men... study my word which hath gone forth among the children of men, and also study my word which shall come forth among the children of men" ( Doctrine and Covenants 11:21-22). I know that as we come to conference seeking to obtain God's word, we will be blessed with great treasures of knowledge.
