This week went great! I hope everyone else's was fantastic. We had a
full week with exchanges, service, and miracles. I got to go to
Manchester CT for a day.
old books they didn't want. We got to chuck a bunch of books into
bins. It was the most fun service I've done yet.
One of the major miracles we saw this week came on Thursday. We had
received a media referral on Wednesday and tried to contact them. We
didn't get any answer to our text, so we decided to try stopping by.
We had a brother from the ward come to a different appointment with
us, which canceled. So, he came and stopped by this media referral
with us. We met Gloria and were able to teach her because we had this
brother with us. It was such a miracle and we found a new investigator
through it. I know that member missionary work is a very effective way
to do God's work. There are so many different ways to do it as well.
Because of King Lamoni, many of the Lamanites were converted unto the
Lord. His efforts were key in helping spread the Gospel in his day.
20 But he caused that there should be synagogues built in the land of
Ishmael; and he caused that his people, or the people who were under
his reign, should assemble themselves together.
21 And he did rejoice over them, and he did teach them many things.
And he did also declare unto them that they were a people who were
under him, and that they were a free people, that they were free from
the oppressions of the king, his father; for that his father had
granted unto him that he might reign over the people who were in the
land of Ishmael, and in all the land round about.
22 And he also declared unto them that they might have the liberty of
worshiping the Lord their God according to their desires, in
whatsoever place they were in, if it were in the land which was under
the reign of king Lamoni.
23 And Ammon did preach unto the people of king Lamoni; and it came to
pass that he did teach them all things concerning things pertaining to
righteousness. And he did exhort them daily, with all diligence; and
they gave heed unto his word, and they were zealous for keeping the
commandments of God.
I know that as we each do our part to spread the Gospel, the Lord will bless us.
