Flap Jacks

Hey everyone,

I hope your weeks were fantastic. This week in the Mission was pretty good. Elder Blum came over from the cape on an exchange and we had an awesome exchange. We made pancakes and my Dad's famous hashbrowns.

Martha's Vineyard is a really cool and interesting place. There are a lot of contractors and Brazilians. Sometimes there are Brazilian contractors, too. Anyway, It's not what I was expecting when I found out I was getting transferred here. Martha's Vineyard is supposed to be a super expensive vacation retreat. Which it is. There are just some regular year-round people here, too.

This week it got a little cold, especially on Saturday. Which of course, was the day we did the most walking. At the end of the day, though, we found an awesome family. They let us in, listened very intently, and accepted to be baptized. It was one of those fourth floor last door experiences, I guess. It is amazing how blessings sometimes come after we put in a ton of effort. This experience really topped off the week for me.

"And again, it is expedient that he should be diligent, that thereby he might win the prize; therefore, all things must be done in order." Mosiah 4:27

Love,
Elder Rogers
