Hello All,
We had another gorgeous week. The weather here has been uncommonly mild, so I'm loving it. Anyway, we took advantage of it and we tracted a ton. Which was actually enjoyable because of the beautiful weather.
While I was on exchange with one of the zone leaders we had a pretty neat miracle. I've been trying to pray more specifically, so I can receive more specific guidance and blessings. Anyway, when we went out knocking doors, we prayed and asked that we would find a family to teach. Guess what?? The very last door on the entire street was that family. It was miraculous to say the least. We're going over this Friday to teach them.
We met a guy who was trying to bash on the Pearl of Great Price. It was the first time that someone I've talked to (1) even knew what that is and (2) immediately brought it up when we tried to give him a picture of Jesus. Haha. We talked and quoted scripture, but we couldn't help him at all. The only thing we could do is invite him to read the scriptures and pray to know if they are true. That is the only sure way to know whether or not the are true. After this experience, I came across 3 Nephi 29:6:
6 Yea, wo unto him that shall deny the revelations of the Lord, and that shall say the Lord no longer worketh by revelation, or by prophecy, or by gifts, or by tongues, or by healings, or by the power of the Holy Ghost!
I know that the Lord still works these many miracles, especially by the power of the Holy Ghost. The witness I've received from the Holy Ghost is the only reason I know that the scriptures are true. And it came only as I asked.
