Hartford

Hey everybody,
I hope you're week went well. The flowers have been blooming out here
and it's awesome. We had a jam-packed week. We had a great exchange
with the zone leaders in Hartford. I also had a habanero at a member's
house on Tuesday. Let's just say tear were shed...

Anyway, on the exchange in Hartford we got to go to a cool banquet for
lunch. The zone leaders volunteer at the Hartford Hospital every week,
so they were invited to an appreciation banquet. Anyway, I've never
volunteered, but I had to stay with my companion. They still let me
in, but I had to wear the other missionary's sticky nametag. So, I had
my nametag on, but I had a different name on a sticker next to it. So
people called me Garret, except those who know the other missionary.
After a little while I stopped explaining the situation to people and
just responded as best I could to "Garret." It was such a funny
experience.

We had another cool experience on our exchange in Hartford. We were
teaching an atheist, and ended up just bearing our testimonies. He
seemed to be moved because of our conviction and knowledge. I know
that bearing our testimonies can be one of the most powerful tools.
The spirit can touch the hearts of those we are testifying to more
than a verse sometimes can.

Love you all,
Elder Rogers
